Spartan Flex Program
New Opportunity for RHS Seniors – Spartan Flex Program
Richmond High School is excited to announce a new opportunity for our high school seniors: the Spartan Flex Program. This program, approved and guided by DESE, allows students to gain real-world experience through jobs or job shadowing while earning high school elective credits.
Here are some important requirements for participation:
Students must be on track to graduate.
Students must arrange their own job or job shadowing opportunity. If a student is unable to find an employer, they may speak with their counselor for assistance; however, placement is not guaranteed.
Students must provide their own transportation to and from the job site.
Once enrolled, students must maintain at least 95% attendance in high school classes.
Students must work a minimum of 12 hours per week at their job, verified through paycheck stubs or a time log.
Grades will be based on submitted proof of attendance at the job and evaluations from the site coordinator.
Packets are available in the Counseling Center and must be completed by the first week of December.
FAFSA
What you will need to complete the FAFSA:
A Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) to sign FAFSA electronically MUST BE COMPLETED at least 3 days before filing FAFSA
Income Information
Federal tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
Dependent students will also need this information for their parents
