Dr. Marlaine Boyd

It is with great pleasure we announce Dr. Marlaine Boyd as the Richmond R-XVI selection for the Dear Elementary Principal. She comes to us from the Blue Springs School District where she has been a kindergarten teacher and has worked with the Blue Springs Leadership Academy with a variety of experiences within the administrative field.

 Dr. Boyd has 16 years of early elementary experience within the Blue Springs and Independence School Districts. During her tenure in education; she has taught various grade levels, virtual classrooms, and led professional development for staff. As a professional development trainer, she has trained staff with Ruby Payne’s Framework of Poverty and has a strong background in curriculum development. She has authored a book “Going to School in a Pandemic: A Student’s Guide to Returning to School”.

 Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Central Missouri, a Master's degree in Collaborative Teaching and Learning from Graceland University, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Baker University.
