Again, although we do not have any information that corroborates this post, we wanted to make sure you are of the situation and assure you that we take all types of threats seriously in partnership with our police and sheriff's departments.
Several metropolitan school districts were identified in a Snapchat post over the weekend as well. No specific threat towards the Richmond School District has been confirmed, but we feel it is important to have law enforcement officers on site at each of our buildings tomorrow, Wed, Sept 11 and beyond if necessary.
Spartan Families: The Richmond R-XVI School District just received a message from Courage to Report about a Snapchat post that identified Richmond, Lathrop, Lawson, Lexington, Kansas City Public schools and two other Kansas City metro school buildings that were possibly on a list to be targeted for school shootings.

Dear Parents, We wanted to inform you about a medical event that occurred at Richmond Middle School today. An ambulance was present on-site to assist, but we want to assure you that no students were injured. The situation was handled promptly and safely.
