A fire alarm was pulled at Dear Elementary. There was no fire! At no time was anyone in danger! The building was evacuated and the fire department responded as a precaution. Students and staff responded quickly and appropriately. The building was quickly cleared, allowing classes to resume.

Due to declining temperatures and impending inclement weather months upon us, temperature checks will be moved indoors beginning Wednesday, November 10th, 2021. Please continue to use designated drop off areas at each location. As always, the health and safety of our students continues to be our priority.

Letter Regarding School Enviornment
A bus owned by Fowler Bus Company, driving Richmond R-XVI students home from school, was involved in a minor traffic accident. The accident involved Bus 14 and occurred at the intersection of Lexington Street and Wollard Boulevard. Paramedics, the Richmond Fire Department, and the Richmond Police Department were on the scene following the accident. All children were evaluated by first responders and transferred to another bus. No injuries were reported.
