Reduction in Required Quarantines:
Last week, the Ray County Health Department shared with us that they will allow for new COVID-19 protocols to align with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As we prepare to return to school tomorrow, we wanted to provide an update on new expectations for staying home when individuals in our school community test positive for COVID-19 or are exposed to a positive person. Click on the link to view our updated protocols: https://5il.co/13oub

We would like to clarify from the letter regarding the change in quarantining procedures sent on 12/6/21 , the Ray County Health Department will no longer:
1. Provide consultation to schools regarding quarantine, except for directing schools to other sources, such as CDC, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, etc.
2. Issue quarantine orders for those that have been exposed to COVID-19, or any
communicable disease, but have not yet been determined to be a positive case.
3. Assist schools with contact tracing, notification of exposure, or enforcement of
quarantine.
Ray County Health Department will continue to provide isolation guidance when appropriate based on CDC guidelines.
