Before coming to school, students and staff need to check for COVID-19 symptoms. Any student or staff member who has a temperature of 100.0℉ or higher and/or are symptomatic will need to stay at home. Any student or staff member who is showing symptoms upon arrival and/or during the school day will be referred to the nursing station for screening.
The Ray County Health Department has clarified with the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services, the 3 feet quarantine protocol only applies to cases where both students are masked and have been exposed to COVID-19 for over 15 minutes. Students who are unmasked for over 15 minutes and exposed to COVID-19 will follow the 6 feet quarantine protocol. Vaccinated individuals, and those who have recovered from COVID-19 within three months, do not need to quarantine while asymptomatic.

We ask for our Spartan families' help to stop recent actions at Richmond High and Middle School. Students have begun to follow trends that encourage theft of items from school and destruction of school property. Items in the bathrooms have been vandalized and destroyed. September 14, 2021
Dear Spartan Families,
We are excited about the great start to our 2021 football season!
In an effort to make Richmond High School home football games fun, exciting, and safe for all fans, the following rule will be in effect for the rest of the season:
All fans, 8th grade and under MUST be accompanied by an adult when entering the stadium. The student must stay with the adult during the duration of the game. Any student who is dropped off without an adult will not be admitted into the game.
These new changes will help the fans enjoy the festivities, while workers of the event can safeguard all those involved, and that the players, band members, officials, and cheerleaders can make it to the field/locker rooms in a timely fashion.
We thank you for your continued support of the Richmond R-XVI Athletics.
Sincerely,
Matt Habermehl
Richmond R-XVI School District
Activities Director

Local law enforcement and the Richmond High School administration have investigated reports of threats made late last night via social media. The threats were rumored to be about potential violence at the high school. It was quickly determined to not be credible. We wish to reassure our families that we have continued to conduct school, in part, because of the effectiveness of the investigative work by our Richmond Police Department and the Ray County Sheriff’s Department.
In an abundance of caution, today there is an increased presence of Richmond Police at the high school. As earlier reported, no tangible threat to any school or student has been confirmed as a result of the social media post. The police investigation is continuing.
Please do not hesitate to contact your child's school principal or our superintendent's office if you have questions regarding school and student safety. The phone number for RHS is 816-776-2226.
