🏀❄️ All middle school basketball practice has been canceled today due to weather. ❄️ 🏀
RMS Parents and Guardians: On Friday December 18th, we will be having activities in the afternoon for all those students caught up on missing work for the quarter. Therefore, the lunch times will be adjusted to the following times:
8th: 10:54-11:15
7th: 11:25-11:46
6th: 11:56-12:17
Christmas is the time for giving. This year Student Council is sponsoring a food drive to support the Backpack Program. Next week, students and teachers are being asked to bring in non-perishable canned or boxed food to their first hour classes. The canned food drive is going on now through Friday December 18th. Let's bring that Spartan holiday spirit to RMS and give back to our community. The first hour class with the most donations will receive a special prize!!!
R-XVI: For the safety of our students, staff and families, the Board of Education voted to change the school calendar to make December 21 and December 22 extended holiday break days. Due to increases in COVID-19 cases in the community, the District is concerned with quarantining students and staff on December 21 and December 22 that would lead to interruption to the holidays.
The Richmond School District would like to wish all families and staff members a safe and happy holiday season. We hope that this extended break will allow for everyone to have time to relax and be ready to return to school in January for the second semester. As a reminder staff will return on January 6 and students will return on January 7.
🏀 Tonight’s Middle School girls basketball game vs. Holden has been postponed. A makeup date will be determined at a later date. 🏀

Also, If your current 7th or 8th grader purchased a Yearbook last year we have them in the office as well as additional Yearbooks for purchase for $17.
Builder's Club is taking monetary donations to adopt a family for Christmas. December 7th-11th the student's will be allowed to wear a school appropriate hat to school for $1 to go towards the donations as well.

Middle School girls basketball practice begins November 2nd from 4:30 to 6:00pm; a parent meeting will be held in the gym immediately following practice, and remember to get your practice card before the first practice in the middle school office if you did not play a fall sport for the school.
Parents/Guardians: If you have a 7th grade student and signed up for a time for Parent Teacher Conferences we need you to please sign up again. Somehow during the editing process the entire document was deleted. If you purchased a yearbook last year we were informed today that due to Covid and processing delays the earliest yearbooks would arrive is mid to late November. Upon arrival we will disperse to those that paid for them already, including those students who are now at the high school.
